When the New Brunswick Senior Football League was formed in 2001, the most enthusiastic response came from the Saint John area. Initially the port city was represented by a single yet powerful team, the Saint John Wanderers. By 2003 the number of interested players had increased to the point where a second Saint John, the Simonds Seadogs, was founded. In 2005, yet a third Saint John team was formed, the Simonds Longhorns. In 2006, the Simonds Longhorns renamed themselves the 'Saint John' Longhorns. Meanwhile the Simonds Seadogs met their demise and a new team took their place, the UNBSJ Seawolves.
Our league has grown by leaps and bounds since its formation in 2001. Our team, while still in its infancy, has already begun building a solid foundation of pride and tradition. This is a very exciting time so come back often and watch us write our history.
